We are elder guarded and staff guided.
We value shared leadership. At COTC we’re elder-guarded and staff-guided for the sake of integrity, accountability, and the balance of spiritual wisdom and practical leadership. Our elders provide spiritual oversight, safeguarding the doctrine, unity, and overall direction of our church. Our staff handle day-to-day operations, guiding ministries and initiatives within their area of expertise. This partnership allows us to faithfully serve others and remain steadfast in our calling to be a movement for all people to find and follow Jesus.
Lead Pastor
Clint Harrison
Pastor Clint Harrison is the founding and lead pastor of Church of the Commons. He has over 20 years of ministry experience and holds an undergraduate degree from Columbia International University and an MDiv from Southern Seminary. He and his wife Jeanne have been married since 2006 and have four daughters: Aubrey, Heidi, Lila, and Reese.

Get to know our teaching team.
Our teaching team gathers quarterly to collaborate on upcoming sermon series. They talk theology, dig deeply into the Bible, and brainstorm creative ways to connect God’s Word with everyday life. Pastor Clint is our primary preacher, but expect to see each of them from time to time.
Clint Harrison
Pastor Clint leads our team of pastors, theologians, and Bible teachers who meet quarterly to discuss each sermon series.
Stephen Ray
In 2016 Stephen moved to Florida to attend the Emmaus School of Biblical Studies. There he discovered a great love for digging into Scripture and advancing the gospel in the hearts of students. After serving as a Bible teacher and Courses Director at Emmaus for 9 years, Stephen joined Church of the Commons as our Director of Spiritual Formation in 2025. He and his wife, Lauren, have three young children.
Preston Gass
Preston joined the staff of Church of the Commons in 2025 as TCstudents Director. He and his wife, Carrie, are passionate about ministry and love investing in the next generation. Preston previously served as a student ministry intern in Hendersonville, Tennessee, and has experience with FUGE Camps and young adult ministry. His teaching and leadership style are marked by depth of knowledge, commitment to discipleship, and a contagious love for Jesus.
Kyle Carden
Pastor Kyle brings over 28 years of ministry experience to our staff team as a worship pastor and elder. He holds a degree in Music Performance and is passionate about loving people in the everyday, and theologically rich leadership that stirs our affections for Christ. He and his wife, Angela, have been married since 2006 and have three kids: Lyric, Dax, and Story.
Andrew Nelson
Andrew has over nine years of ministry experience serving as a student pastor and campus pastor in the Orlando area. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary and actively seeks ways to serve the local church body. He’s been married to Megan since 2015 and together they have three kids: Emma, Brody, and Brooke.
Jasaun King
Jasaun has been part of The Commons since 2022, serving in TCstudents and occasionally teaching on Wednesday nights. He has a natural gift for connecting with people and is passionate about helping others engage their faith in a way that’s both personal and lasting. He works as the Marketing Director at Autonoma, and he and his wife, Josie, lead a young adult Home Group and love building community together with their mini dachshund, Eddie.
Meet our lay elders.
Our lay elders serve as the spiritual leaders of our church, providing prayer, wisdom, and oversight. They help guard our doctrine, protect our unity, and guide our overall direction alongside our staff.
RyanCunningham
Ryan has spent more than 20 years in business leadership and previously served as a youth pastor at Northland Church. He and his wife, Tiffany, have been part of Church of the Commons since 2014, bringing a love for discipleship and hospitality. Ryan serves on the usher team and in men’s ministry leadership, while Tiffany serves in family guest services and women’s ministry leadership. Married for 20 years, they are raising two teenagers.
Dan Trenda
Dan has decades of ministry experience with Cru and currently serves as the National Director of Mission Trips. He and his wife, Katie, have been part of Church of the Commons since 2021, bringing a heart for missions, discipleship, and the next generation. Dan serves in Ops and with TCkids, teaching 3rd and 4th grade boys, while Katie leads a TC56 group of 5th and 6th grade girls. Together, they are raising four children, ages 10-15.
